First let's take a look at a couple of verses here:
classic.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2014:26&version=NIV
What do we see in this passage about the Holy Spirit?
He is a teacher & someone who reminds.
Than we have this:
classic.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2012:11-12&version=NIV
Again, we see the Holy Spirit is a teacher, & will give you words when the time is needed.
Than we have this:
classic.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians+4:29-31&version=NIV
Pay particular attention to verse 30,
There are those who say that the Holy Spirit is simply a force, or the power of God.
Well, if that was true, then how do you "grieve" a "force"?
No, this verse clearly show the the Holy Spirit is not just an impersonal force, but an actual being, with actual feelings!
If you really want to know about the Holy Spirit, read the book of Acts.
See how the Holy Spirit took a bunch of scared men, hiding in a little room, & see how He transformed them into witnesses for Christ Jesus that the world had never seen before.
Look at the response of the Jewish Leaders, when they saw the power of the Holy Spirit:

This is who the Holy Spirit is.
When one comes to know Christ as Lord & Savior, The Holy Spirit changes them into a force for God's use.
He teaches us God's will for our life, what God expects of us, how to walk in God's ways, & when things get tough-he give us the ability to stand up for Christ , in a way that we wouldn't be able to do by ourselves.
This is who the Holy Spirit is to those who have chosen Christ-God living in those who have come into that personal relationship with the one who died for their sins, & rose again from the dead, thereby breaking the penalty for sin, & restoring the lost relationship with God-Christ Jesus.
