Does God Exist?
This is a question that atheists have been using for hundreds of years.
Let's look at the dictionary definition of what an atheist is:
dictionary.reference.com/browse/atheist?s=t
a·the·ist
[ey-thee-ist] Show IPA
noun
a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings.
Well, I think that that is pretty straightforward.
Look at some of these questions that atheists have asked on Yahoo Answers:
Now look at what we see in each of these questions:
"Prove to me that god exists"
I think it is pretty clear from a statement like this that this person is definitely an atheist.
Than we have this:
"Atheist are called upon to prove there isn't a god, we don't have to do that because there is no proof of god in the first place"
Well, I think that it is pretty clear that this person is an atheist.
Then we have this:
"Christians, why do you demand that atheists prove that God does not exist, when you cannot prove he does?
This has always struck me as the deepest form of hypocrisy. Christians are always demanding that atheists prove there is no God, but never offer up proof that God genuinely exists."
I don't think that anyone could deny that this person is obviously an atheist.

as of 4/7/12, there were 942 questions asking to prove that God exists.
If you glance at the questions, it will become very obvious that almost everyone asking these questions is an atheist.
OK. Back to topic.
From the dictionary definition at the top of this page as to what an atheist is, it is clear that they say that there is no God.
Well, "IF" there is no God, that what kind of proof would convince them that there IS a God?
Think about this for a minute:
They say that there is no God. Well, "if" there is no God, than by definition, there can be no evidence that there is a God-right?
And since, (according the what atheists believe), "if" there is no God, there is no God to provide any evidence that God exists-right?
Then if there is no God, & no evidence that there Is a God, they why do atheists continually ask about a being that according to them doesn't exist?
How can there BE any proof?
Why are atheists so obsessed about someone that doesn't exist? (According to them).
That is the question that no atheist can answer-because the very instant they mention "God", They are the hypocrite!
Asking about a "God" that they don't believe exists-you want to tell me how this is NOT hypocritical?
Look at what one of the the questions above has in it:
Seems to me that THEY are the hypocrites-talking about & asking questions about a "God" that they claim doesn't even exist!
If, (according to them), there is no God, that why are the so obsessed with someone that doesn't exist?
For that matter-why do they even care? There is no God, (according to them), so why does it matter what others believe?
Now, let's look at this topic from the view of one who does have that one-to-one relationship with Christ.
This is the biggest mistake that those who DO know Christ make-trying to prove that God exists to someone who DOESN'T believe He exists.
WE don't NEED to prove God exists. When we came to know Christ, by letting Him come into our lives, we WERE Changed!
Don't believe me?
Look at someone like Peter in the Bible.
Just a plain, uneducated fisherman.
A man who denied Christ 3 times.
A man who Jesus himself called "Satan" here:
classic.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+16:22-24&version=NIV
A man cowering in a room, for fear of the Romans, before Pentecost.
Now, when the Holy Spirit comes into Him, & the others as seen here:
classic.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts%202:1-40&version=NIV
Wait a minute.
Is this the same man?
Does anyone actually believe that Peter could be "faking" something like this?
Peter was a completely changed man! Nobody could be so completely different from who he was before., EXCEPT by the power of God. Nobody could fake something like this!
Look at the story of Stephan here:
classic.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts%206:8-7:60&version=NIV
We don't know a lot about Stephan, but after he spoke to the Jewish leaders, look at what happened:
classic.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts%207:54-60&version=NIV
Here was a man, so changed by God's power, that he spoke completely without fear, before the Jewish leaders, that they stoned him, because the knew that he had spoken the truth, but they refused to accept it.
Could any man be stoned, & be "faking" their beliefs?
Finally, look at Paul:
classic.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts%209:1-18&version=NIV
Here we see how Paul came to personally know Christ Jesus.
From Acts, chapter 9 on-could ANY MAN 'fake" being an entirely different person from what he was before?
He was changed, by who?
God, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Does God exist?
It is not the job of those who DO have a personal 1-1 relationship with Christ to prove God's existence, when we have a recorded record of how God has changed those who CHOOSE to follow Him.
But as I have stated here:
solascripturaalone.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=choice&action=display&thread=11&page=1
God will NEVER force anyone to believe in Him.
He never has.
AS long as atheists continue to deny that, (according to them), that there is no "God", they will never have ANY KIND OF EVIDENCE, OUTSIDE OF THE BIBLE , so they might as well stop asking for it from any other source-because they are NEVER going to get it!
But, for those of us who HAVE come to know Christ Jesus personally, we DO know that God exists, & we don't have to prove it to anyone.
Period.

Prove to me that god exists. Don't use any bible quotes, and don't tell me that I just have to believe in it. On the other hand, prove that he doesn't exist, without using slander or just telling me your feelings on christianity. Let's see some proof from either side.

Christians, why do you demand that atheists prove that God does not exist, when you cannot prove he does?
This has always struck me as the deepest form of hypocrisy. Christians are always demanding that atheists prove there is no God, but never offer up proof that God genuinely exists. The only thing they ever have to say is ‘have faith’ or ‘wait until you die and see’.
Surly if you make a claim as grand as ‘a super alien created the universe and watches over all that is in it’, you must be able to offer some viable proof.
But ask a Christian for evidence and it is taken as the worst kind of insult.
A bit like your math tutor telling you that that 15 x 27= 23, and when you ask him to prove it, he whacks you around the head with a hammer screaming don’t question me, but refuses to prove his answer.
All Christians seem to do is quote from an ancient book, which has been proven to be a mish mash compilation of writings, copied and translated so many times that the stories bear little or no resemblance to the original text.
So why ask us to disprove this nonsense, lets see your proof.
